a lifestyle letter by yolanda shoshana—where culture, clarity, and a touch of magick meet.
It’s been a while since I’ve sent out a real newsletter. Life got busy, I couldn’t decide which platform I wanted to be on, so I simply put it on hold. But now I’m back.
Eventually, I’ll be moving this newsletter over to beehiiv because it feels more like my vibe. You don’t have to do anything right now—this is simply a heads-up that a change is coming.
I hope you’ve been having a fun summer and getting into a little mischief. Personally, I cannot wait for summer to see herself out. If you know me, you know I’m not a fan. It’s hot, it’s sticky, and why do people suddenly think they should be wearing natural deodorant?
Bring on the pumpkin spice. Boo, y’all.
I can’t believe they made us wait until the end of August, but I’ve already spotted more than a few signs that pumpkin spice season has dropped. More importantly, I can feel the first touch of autumn in the air.
As the season begins to change, the energy changes with it. Lean into that shift. This is the perfect time for manifesting, imagining, and asking for more.
Don’t limit yourself. Be delulu. Ask the universe for what you truly want so it has a chance to provide it.
You have the power. You always have, and you always will.
XO Shosh 💋

🖤The Sugar Hit List
Loving: The Le Creuset Licorice Figural Pumpkin Mini Cocotte. It’s dark and just dramatic enough to make anything served inside feel wickedly delicious.
Craving: Tatcha’s The Dewy Serum. Because plump, luminous skin is always on the menu—and this bottle is serving expensive-looking hydration.
Side-Eyeing: Influencers misbehaving at the US Open. A fabulous outfit may get you courtside, darling, but it cannot buy manners. Wimbledon entered the chat and said they don’t play that. 🎾
The Daddy Dossier:
IYKYK: membership clubs & experiences
💌 London’s legendary private club Annabel’s is officially bringing its velvet-rope magick to New York. The club has purchased a building in the Meatpacking District—directly across the street from Soho House. Oh, my. An opening is planned for 2028, but I spotted work happening on the building the other day. The private-club rivalry is about to get delicious.
With its decadent interiors, glamorous clientele and famously difficult-to-access guest list, Annabel’s arrival is already one of the most anticipated private-club openings in NYC.
Start polishing your connections now,. 2028 will be here before you know it.
💌 UES Club Gossip
Maison Estelle was supposed to grace the Upper East Side — a little London‑meets‑Manhattan fantasy — but darling, they pulled out faster than a billionaire dodging a soft‑launch. Their exit left a very chic vacuum, and Restaurateur Giuseppe Bruno wasted no time turning the space above his long‑running Sistina into a private, invitation‑only club centered entirely around food.
The vibe? Think: velvet‑rope dining for people who collect experiences the way others collect Hermès scarves. The details are still marinating, so I’ll share the delicious deets the moment they start to unfold.
Inside: cozy & home
💌 Breaking news—for what feels like the 100th time—people are moving back home. Well, when the rent is too damn high and everything else costs a small fortune, of course they are. If going home lets you save some coins, regroup and still enjoy a stocked refrigerator, pack the bags. Home is where the savings are.
💌 Crafting is having a moment—and charm making may be one of the coziest ways to join in. With Kelsey Armstrong’s new book, Charmed, you can pour a little wine, gather your trinkets and create something personal without leaving home.
💌 If you’re in New York City, visit Kelsey’s Dreamworld Boutique in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, for even more charm inspiration. Either way, get your charm on.
💌 Staying in? Make it delicious. Check out my new Tipple & Tubi pairings—a little wine, a little drama, and absolutely no reason to leave the sofa.
Outside: going out + experiences
💌 The Polo Bar Is Packing Its Riding Boots
After more than a decade as one of New York’s most impossible tables to book, Ralph Lauren’s Polo Bar is leaving the wood-paneled Midtown perch that made it a fixture of the city’s high-society scene. ( Maybe….)
Why the move? An offer it couldn’t refuse: free rent.
Not even Ralph Lauren passes up free rent in New York City. Apparently, the most exclusive reservation in town is a landlord willing to charge nothing. Time will tell if the move happens or not.
Sports: scores + spectacle
💌 One of the best things about autumn? Football is back, baby.
The Seattle Seahawks took the first game of the season, so we’re already off to a delicious start. It’s far too early to predict which teams will make the playoffs—but apparently, it’s never too early to start whispering about the Super Bowl halftime show.
Word on the street is that MILEY—formerly Miley Ray Cyrus—is the current frontrunner.
Football, fashion, and Miley commanding the world’s biggest stage? Suddenly, I’m very invested in the game.
💌 The WNBA postseason is approaching, and the ladies are preparing to leave everything on the court. The first round tips off September 27, followed by the semifinals on October 4. Then, on October 17, the best-of-seven Finals begin—with the last possible game falling on Halloween.
Consider October officially booked: elite athletes, high stakes, and enough drama to keep the group chat busy. Let the games begin.
